Digging into the Past
Digging into the Past has been expressly developed to address the National and
NJ Standards for Earth Science.
Designed to inspire and excite students in the study of
dinosaurs, participants will use actual fossil materials and current information
in an interactive workshop. This workshop not only adds new dimensions to the classroom with practical "hands-on"
experience, but gives the students working knowledge of the science of paleontology.
Details: Participants will receive a teachers
guide and will be guided through the objectives, laboratory preparation,
procedures, explanations, alternative assessment options and the Standards.
Fossil collections ($110 wholesale) designed for this curriculum are available.
They should be provided to participants free or at a discount. Perhaps one for
every 2-3 teachers from one school.
